1. Who we are

The Engine Coaching ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Daniel Hill, based in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. We provide 1-on-1 boxing coaching, session packs and related content via this website.

2. Information we collect

  • Account & contact details: name, email, phone, emergency contact, and any goals/notes you share with your coach.
  • Booking & payment data: session times, pack credits, payment method (Square, cash, transfer), payment status and amounts. We do not store full card numbers — card payments are processed by Square.
  • Communications: emails we send you and your responses (booking confirmations, receipts, reminders).
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device and usage data via essential cookies and aggregate analytics.

3. How we use your information

  • To deliver coaching sessions and manage your bookings.
  • To process payments and issue receipts.
  • To contact you about your booking, account, or service updates.
  • To improve the website and meet legal obligations.

4. Sharing your information

We share data only with service providers that help us run the business: Square (payments), Supabase / Lovable Cloud (hosting and database), and our email delivery provider. We do not sell your data.

5. Cookies & tracking

6. Data retention

We keep booking and payment records for at least 7 years to meet Australian tax and consumer-law obligations. Marketing-related data is deleted on request.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email dan@theengine.au and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use TLS in transit, row-level security on our database, and industry-standard authentication. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

Customers under 18 must have a parent or guardian agree to these terms and the privacy policy on their behalf.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page and, where appropriate, emailed to you.
